STARTING THE YEAR OFF WITH AN AMAZING POETRY NIGHT FULL OF CHANGE AND ADVOCACY!

Join us for an evening of poetry, song, and conversation with musician/poet Bryon Cherry, other guest artists, and Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort. The night will be centered around gun violence and its impact on our community and our lives. Enjoy artistic expression and a tasty beverage while learning how to get involved. You can make a difference. You can help end gun violence.

Featuring dynamic and inspiring sets by:

Kristin Peterson (KP) Kazubowski- Is a poet of fire and heart whose full-length poetry collection, “somnieeee”, was published in 2019 by Vegetarian Alcoholic Press.

Sue Blaustein- Is a poet who finds poetry in interactions in the world and elevates ordinary moments up to opportunities for full on reflection. Ask her about her beautiful poetry collection titled “In the Field - Autobiography of an Inspector”.

Destinny “Deolinda Abstrac” Fletcher- Is a force of nature, poems seem to volcano out of her, bursting with insight. Her powerful book of poems is titled “Black Girl Be Storm”.

Bryon Cherry- Is a poet, musician and shaman. His work sees the everything in every single moment. He is the author of a chapbook “Funeral Journey” and a full-length book of poems, “Ruins, Ruminations and Rituals.
